Anant Nagar Yojana is the LDA's township on Mohan Road, on the western side of Lucknow. It has been selling plots in phases, and in 2026 it added an affordable apartment project. With the new Varun Vihar township also coming up on the same Mohan Road corridor, this part of the city is getting a lot of attention. Here is a short, factual update.
The township
According to scheme guides, Anant Nagar covers about 785 acres and was launched by the Chief Minister in April 2025. Plots are sold in phases, through applications on the LDA portal and a lottery.
Phase 5: 460 plots in Aashish Khand
Phase 5 offered 460 residential plots in Aashish Khand:
- 425 plots of 112.5 square metres
- 23 plots of 200 square metres
- 12 plots of 162 square metres
Guides reported the registration window as 9 August to 9 September 2026, and one guide quoted a rate of about ₹44,731 per square metre. The LDA website now shows the list of successful applicants for Anant Nagar Phase V, so the lottery has been held. Results for Phase IV are also posted there.
If you applied, check your result on the LDA site itself, and follow the payment schedule in your allotment letter exactly. Missed instalments can cost you the plot.
Aditi Apartment (PMAY): registration open till 2 November
Aditi Apartment is an affordable housing project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, inside Anant Nagar. Its foundation stone was laid in September 2026, alongside four other LDA apartment projects. The LDA website lists registration from 2 October to 2 November 2026.
PMAY homes have eligibility rules, usually based on income and on not already owning a house. Read the brochure on the LDA site before you register, and apply only through the official portal.
Is Mohan Road a good place to live today?
Mohan Road is still developing. For buyers, the township plans, the Agra Expressway nearby and the new Varun Vihar scheme point to growth over the coming decade. For renters, the choice of ready flats here is still smaller than in established areas, and daily needs such as schools, hospitals and markets are further away than in the older parts of the city.
If you need a home now, established areas may suit you better until the township fills in. See the properties we have for rent in Lucknow, or list your own property with us if you own one on this side of the city.
Facts as reported up to 19 October 2026. Plot rates and dates come from published guides and the LDA website; the LDA's official notice always wins.
